Ariel Goldstein has a PhD in Social Sciences from the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Buenos Aires and an assistant researcher at CONICET at the Institute of Latin American and Caribbean Studies. He has been a postgraduate professor in Social Sciences at the Faculty of Social Sciences (UBA) and is currently a professor in the Latin American Political Chair of the Political Science degree. He has lectured at universities in Brazil and conducted research stays at the Department of Political Science of the University of San Pablo. He participates in UBACYT projects as a trained researcher, and of the international project of the CNPQ of Brazil: "Imprensa e circulação de ideias: or papertwo newspapers nos seculos XIX e XX". His latest publications include: "Traditional Press and Popular Leaderships in Brazil" (A Contracorriente, North Carolina State University, 2017) and “The Press and Classical Populismin Argentina and Brazil” (Latin American Perspectives, May 2018).
Ariel Goldstein es doctor en Ciencias Sociales por la Facultad de Ciencias Sociales de la Universidad de Buenos Aires e investigador asistente del CONICET en el Instituto de Estudios de América Latina y el Caribe. Ha sido profesor del posgrado en Ciencias Sociales de la Facultad de Ciencias Sociales (UBA) y actualmente es docente de la cátedra Política Latinoamericana dela carrera de Ciencia Política. Ha brindado conferencias en universidades de Brasil y realizado estancias de investigación en el Departamento de Ciencia Política de la Universidad de San Pablo. Participa en proyectos UBACYT como investigador formado, y del proyecto internacional del CNPQ de Brasil: “Imprensa e circulação de ideias: o papel dos periódicos nos séculos XIX eXX”. Sus últimas publicaciones incluyen: "Prensa tradicional y liderazgos populares en Brasil" (A Contracorriente, North Carolina State University, 2017) y “The Press and Classical Populism in Argentina and Brazil” (Latin American Perspectives, mayo de 2018).
