Cecilia Fuentes Macedo was born on August 7, 1962 in Mexico City. She studied drawing and photography at the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland, California. Later she moved to New York to study for a degree in Communications at the New York Institute of Technology. Interested in personal computers, which had recently emerged during her stay in the United States, she took a degree in microcomputer systems at The New School for Social Research in Manhattan.

From a very young age, she has been involved with the media, performing arts and literature. One of his first jobs was to transcribe some of the manuscripts of his father, the writer Carlos Fuentes. He worked in various institutions and companies such as the UN, the National Council for Culture and the Arts and Televisa. He has written several articles for the newspaper Milenio. Mujer en papel, is her first book, in which, among other things, she tells the story of her parents.

Cecilia Fuentes Macedo nació el 7 de agosto de 1962 en la Ciudad de México. Estudió dibujo y fotografía en el California College of Arts and Crafts, en Oakland, California. Más tar- de se trasladó a Nueva York para estudiar la licenciatura en Comunicaciones en el New York Institute of Technology. Interesada en las computadoras personales, de recién aparición du- rante su estadía en Estados Unidos, cursó un diplomado en sistemas de microcomputación en The New School for Social Research de Manhattan.

Desde muy joven, se ha relacionado con los medios de comunicación, las artes escénicas y la literatura. Uno de sus primeros trabajos fue el de transcribir algunos de los manuscritos de su padre, el escritor Carlos Fuentes. Trabajó en diversas instituciones y empresas como la ONU, el Consejo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes y Televisa. Ha escrito diversos artículos para el periódico Milenio. Mujer en papel, es su primer libro, en el que, entre otras cosas, cuenta la historia de sus padres.
