Hasta los confines de la carne : Estética de lo irrepresentable. O la memoria traumática frente a la violencia sexual ( To the limits of the flesh. Aesthetics of the unrepresentable. Or the traumatic memory in the face of sexual violence) , is the result of how she has been deeply consciously, since the year 2000 about the problematics of female rape and the psychic transformations that this painful event entails. She addresses this problem from the perspective of a theoretical-artistic perspective, more specifically, giving emphasis to traumatic memories of rape. Her observations are saturated with various academic studies, and emphasizes the serious repercussions of this type of violent acts, at the psychic level. She begins by questioning herself through her own artistic creation, about the transformations and traumas, suffered by women raped, as human individual beings. She thus aims to show how then to represent this unspeakable, apparently unattainable trauma, with the means provided by art. And to touch the impalpable, through the photographic images.

Martha Amorocho, is a Franco-Colombian artist, born in Cartagena in 1971. She holds a Master of Arts, from Chelsea College of Arts and Design, 1998.Throughout her artistic career, she has participated in numerous collective and individual exhibitions in Colombia, France, England and Spain. Her works are part of important collections. The Collection of the Bank of the Republic, Colombia. The Museum of Modern Art of Cartagena. And the Contemporary Art Museum of Bogotá. She has also been a university professor at Universities in Cartagena and Barranquilla. And is currently a member of the Research Department at UNIBAC, (University Institute of Fine Arts of Cartagena.)

Hasta los límites de la carne. Estética de lo irrepresentable. O la memoria traumática frente a la violencia sexual, es el resultado de cómo ella ha sido, desde el año 2000, de la problemática de la violación femenina y las transformaciones psíquicas que conlleva este evento doloroso. Ella aborda este problema desde una perspectiva teórico-artística, más específicamente, haciendo hincapié en los recuerdos traumáticos de la violación. Sus observaciones están saturadas de diversos estudios académicos, y enfatiza las serias repercusiones de este tipo de actos violentos, a nivel psíquico. Comienza preguntándose a sí misma, a través de su propia creación artística, sobre las transformaciones y traumas sufridos por las mujeres violadas, como seres humanos. Por lo tanto, su objetivo es mostrar cómo representar este trauma indescriptible, aparentemente inalcanzable, con los medios provistos por el arte. Y para tocar lo impalpable, a través de las imágenes fotográficas.

Martha Amorocho, es una artista franco-colombiana, nacida en Cartagena en 1971. Tiene una Maestría en Artes del Chelsea College of Arts and Design, 1998. A lo largo de su carrera artística, ha participado en numerosas exposiciones colectivas e individuales en Colombia, Francia, Inglaterra y España. Sus obras son parte de Colecciones importantes. La Colección del Banco de la República, Colombia. El Museo de Arte Moderno de Cartagena. Y el Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Bogotá. También ha sido Profesora universitaria en Universidades de Cartagena y Barranquilla. Y actualmente es Miembro del Departamento de Investigación de UNIBAC (Instituto Universitario de Bellas Artes de Cartagena).
