Max Valdés Avilés is a novelist, short story writer, editor, anthologist, children's literature writer. He holds a Master's Degree in Publishing from the Diego Portales University and a Master's Degree in Publishing from the Pompeau Fabra University of Barcelona. With a postgraduate degree in Art studies, mention in Sculpture from the Universidad Católica de Chile. Creative writing teacher at Andrés Bello University and language teacher at El Robledal school in Caleu. He has published the volumes of stories: Mimí agonizes in the bohemian attic; Not a rumor in the dark and the novels: One too many morning; The wounded deer; Manuscript on darkness; The cherry thief. In children's literature he has published: A small story of fear; A gorilla in my room; Sofia and the pair of lovers. It has been published in anthologies and literary shows in Chile, Spain, Mexico, Argentina, France, Croatia, Peru, Bolivia and Germany. Finalist of the Municipal Literature Prize Municipality of Santiago 2015 in youth literature. First Prize Pedro de Oña in short novel, First Prize for novel Gabriela Mistral Literary Games 2000, Honorable mention for the story of the Floral Games 1998, among others. In 2018 he published the police novel: Fragments of a crime, twice worthy of the creation grant and selected by the Ministry of Cultures for publication.
